8th Grade Great Adventure Trip

Each year our eighth grade students look forward to participating in the end of year trip to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ.

This year the cost for the trip will be $60 for students ($35 for students with a Six Flags Season Pass or Membership)

The cost of the trip includes transportation, park admission with unlimited rides and a private “all-you-care-to-eat” buffet.

Any student with a Great Adventure Season Pass or Membership is responsible for bringing their season pass or membership card with them the day of the trip. Students without their season pass / membership card will be responsible for all additional costs should they need an admission ticket the day of the trip.

There is NO discount for students who have a dining plan, as the lunch is a private catered event just for 8th Grade students from Cherry Hill attending our trip. Students cannot “opt-out” of the lunch. Students will be required to check-in with a supervisor just outside the park’s catering area entrance at a designated time to receive a single entry pass to the lunch. Students may enjoy as much lunch as they would like, but will not be able to re-enter the catering area once they exit. If your child has any dietary restrictions, please contact Mrs. Michele Taylor, RN at 856-667-1220 ext. 3561 prior to Friday, May 11, 2018 so that appropriate accommodations can be made.

Casual attire is appropriate and bare feet are not permitted. This year, the Carusi PTA will provide students a commemorative class shirt to be worn the day of the trip. Since this is a school trip ALL SCHOOL RULES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE DURATION OF THE TRIP. School representatives will be present during the trip and available to assist students. There are lockers, for an additional fee, throughout the park should a student choose to go on a ride that prohibits carry-on items. In addition, students must comply with all park rules which are enforced by park security and the Jackson, New Jersey police department.

On the day of the trip, students are to arrive at school at the regular time (8:00am) for homeroom and will be called to their assigned bus when it arrives. Buses will depart from Great Adventure at 5:30pm. Every student is expected to ride the bus to and from the park. Students should not plan to use the school phone to call for a ride. Parents/Guardians must arrange for their child’s transportation home from Carusi at approximately 6:30pm.

It is important to remember that this trip is only for Carusi 8th Grade Students. Students who choose not to participate will be expected to be at school and will be supervised as a regular school day.
